Our clients loved this home long before it was the earthy, warm space it is now. They had walked by it for years, dreaming of what it would be like to live in this 1920s Spanish Colonial Bungalow. For this project, our work felt a lot more like unearthing this home’s soulful personality as opposed to creating it. For instance, the living room had been enclosed in a series of additions and felt dark and dated. We were able to open it up, exposing original steel windows that let the light in beautifully. We removed the inauthentic crown mouldings and white washed everything to let the architecture and furnishings shine. The finished home is a celebration of its roots with timeless style and a real sense of its place in time.
