The House That François Built
GREAT FALLS, VA
This restoration is our modern adaptation of a traditional Alsatian country house. David and Lauren bought this home from the Haeringer sons, who own and operate one of the most well-known and well-loved French restaurants around. Built by their parents in 1979 and designed by Thomas Williams and Bart Post, every detail of the home was chosen to feel like an authentic country house in the couple’s native Alsace. Our team renovated the entire home, lightening and opening up the home to better suit a family of seven. In addition to the changes to the main structure, we added a kitchen garden, goose habitat, chicken coop, and cutting garden.
